Provide psychiatric nursing care as a Casual Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. Apply crisis intervention and mental health assessment skills.
Fraser Health seeks a Casual Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse for an Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. Working with an interprofessional care team, you will provide person-centered, recovery-oriented care. The position includes nursing assessments, clinical leadership, patient education, health promotion, and coordinated care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned patients’ nursing care
Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic psychiatric nursing services
Communicate care plans with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Assign and delegate tasks to support staff
Maintain accurate reports of assessments, education, and outcomes
Requirements:
Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
Current BCCNM registration as Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment
Knowledge of psychopharmacology, indications, and side effects
Ability to perform position duties physically
Bring psychiatric nursing, crisis intervention, and collaborative care skills to Fraser Health’s inpatient services in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
