Be a part of Intact's Legal Claims Department as a Law Clerk, focusing on insurance defence cases in either Toronto or Mississauga. This temporary contract is an excellent chance to support diverse legal processes.
In this role, you will contribute your expertise by managing files related to Accident Benefits and Tort matters. A minimum of five years in Insurance Defence Litigation is required along with a strong understanding of the relevant Ontario legal procedures. You will draft legal documents, manage undertakings, and assist with trial preparations, ensuring quality and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support management of assigned legal claims files
• Draft appropriate pleadings and LAT documents
• Prepare lists for pre-discovery and manage productions
• Coordinate examinations and manage expert input
• Summarize documentation effectively for case preparation
Requirements:
• Five years of Insurance Defence Litigation experience
• Strong command of Tort matters and civil procedures
• Proficient in document management tools
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
