Part Time Long Term Care Nurse
Manitoulin Centennial Manor (Extendicare)
Support resident care as a part time Registered Nurse, applying nursing standards and physicians’ orders in a long term care home.
Reporting to the Director of Care, this Registered Nurse supports quality nursing practice under College of Nurses of Ontario, Long Term Care, and Extendicare standards. The position includes resident assessment, care planning, monitoring, documentation, and staff supervision. It also supports facility readiness for RAI MDS.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide resident care according to nursing standards and policies
Observe, report, and record resident vital signs and conditions
Develop, implement, review, and evaluate resident care plans
Supervise, evaluate, orient, and train assigned care staff
Assist facility preparation for RAI MDS requirements
Requirements:
Registered Nurse qualification
Ability to process and implement physicians’ orders
Ability to assess residents and identify referral needs
Ability to conduct performance appraisals and refer concerns
Ability to take charge during the Director of Care’s absence
