Outpatient Physiotherapist Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Nova Scotia Health seeks a Physiotherapist for Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services in a tertiary care setting. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. The work includes standardized testing, post-surgical protocols, patient education, and collaborative care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients using medical histories and standardized evaluation procedures
Develop holistic treatment programs using exercises and education
Apply manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques
Educate patients, families, caregivers, and health disciplines
Supervise students, assistants, and aides while collaborating clinically
Requirements:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
Current BCLS certification and thorough physiotherapy practice knowledge
Experience delivering group exercise classes and patient education
Strong collaboration, accountability, planning, and communication skills
Support patient function through outpatient assessment, orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, education, and coordinated physiotherapy care at QEII.
