As a Mechanical Engineering Student, you can contribute across several engineering areas. Work may involve product development, machines, equipment, mechanical building systems, HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection. Other possibilities include energy systems, hydropower, automation, acoustics, air quality, and climate change assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop products, machines, and equipment from design through production
Design mechanical building systems and HVAC networks
Support mechanical systems for hydropower facilities
Design automated systems that improve process efficiency
Support air quality, emissions, noise, and vibration assessments
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Expected graduation in summer 2027
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Build practical experience across mechanical design, energy, automation, and environmental engineering with AtkinsRéalis in Canada.
