This Software Development Manager role leads the Region Flexibility & Efficiency team’s engineering direction and developer-focused products. You will influence product design, select technologies, and deliver scalable services, automated tooling, and user experiences. Your work supports Amazon businesses such as Worldwide Stores, Alexa, Kindle, and Prime Video while improving software ownership across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Set engineering strategy, priorities, and roadmap direction
Direct product design and software architecture decisions
Collaborate with teams across Amazon on technical solutions
Build scalable services and automated developer tooling
Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent
Requirements:
Eight-plus years leading multi-tier web services development
Three-plus years designing or architecting new and existing systems
Seven-plus years of direct engineering team experience
Three-plus years managing engineering teams
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Use architecture, roadmap leadership, and web services expertise to improve Amazon’s software engineering experience worldwide.
