Senior Manager, Indigenous External Financial Advisory Services

Responsibilities
Work closely with Indigenous community and enterprise clients to assess their accounting systems and lead tailored capacity‑building initiatives
Evaluate overall client accounting practices and create a strategic plan for growth, capacity development, and financial literacy
Provide strategic recommendations to client leadership and implement best practices
Advise on complex matters such as external financing, system implementations, and chart of accounts setup
Deliver hands‑on training in accounting functions including assisting the client with audit preparation
Review/prepare finance policies and process maps, prepare recommended amendments as required
Provide training and oversight into general matters such as payroll, GST/PST, and T4 filing
Facilitate quarterly financial reporting and project updates to Management and Leadership
Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
A degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting
CPA, CAFM, or equivalent designation
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and organizational finance
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Experience working with Indigenous communities is a strong asset
