Become a Lower School Class Teacher at Toronto Waldorf School, set to start in August 2026. This role involves leading a class of up to 24 students, fostering their academic and emotional growth.
As part of a vibrant community, you will evaluate student progress and work closely with parents to deepen their understanding of the Waldorf philosophy. Your responsibilities will blend teaching with administrative tasks, while you actively engage in faculty meetings and school events. Collaborating with fellow educators, you will contribute immensely to the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate students from Grade 1 to Grade 8
• Monitor and report on academic and social development
• Organize and lead parent information evenings
• Collaborate with teachers on curriculum implementation
• Participate in faculty meetings and school activities
Requirements:
• Proven track record as a Class Teacher
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience in parent engagement and support
• Commitment to complete Waldorf Teacher Education
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural school environment
