Compliance Risk Assessment Manager

Lead compliance risk assessments in Toronto with Scotiabank, applying data analytics and control oversight within the Global Compliance team.
As Manager, you support Compliance Risk & Control Assessment activities globally. You help develop methodologies, oversee execution, and evaluate the Bank’s regulatory compliance risk profile. The work aligns activities with risk appetite, regulations, policies, and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Directors and Senior Managers with risk assessment methodologies
Develop training materials for assessment activities
Build relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
Oversee trends, procedures, risk exposure, and remediation
Maintain effective controls for compliance, operational, AML/ATF, and conduct risk
Requirements:
Graduate degree in business, finance, law, or social science
Three years’ experience in financial institutions or financial regulation
Two years’ risk management experience in relevant fields
Expertise in data analytics, data mining, and large datasets
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project skills
