Join the American Iron & Metal (AIM) family as a Health and Safety Advisor located in Hamilton, ON. Focus on enhancing workplace safety programs and compliance while fostering a positive health and safety culture.
In this engaging role, you’ll be responsible for supporting health and safety initiatives across AIM’s diverse operations. With 2-3 years of industry experience, you will conduct site inspections, analyze risks, and facilitate safety training sessions for staff. Excellent communication skills will help you collaborate with managers and external regulatory bodies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate H&S initiatives across multiple sites
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance
• Analyze workplace accidents and improve safety protocols
• Oversee training sessions and mandatory H&S education
• Generate reports on key safety metrics for management
Requirements:
• College or university certificate in H&S or related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of Ontario H&S regulations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Valid G driver’s license
