Position: Business Development Senior Associate (Life Sciences & Innovation)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Reports to: Branch / Department Manager

Life Sciences, Healthcare, AI, and innovation-driven business models . We’re looking for a
Business Development Senior Associate
who is curious, analytical, and excited about shaping new ideas, partnerships, and investment opportunities in Canada’s innovation ecosystem.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting
science, technology, and commercial strategy —and turning promising concepts into actionable opportunities.
What You’ll Do
Identify and evaluate startups in Life Sciences (Biotech, MedTech) and AI
Lead due diligence, analyze data rooms, technology validation, and risk assessment
Prepare clear investment memos to support management decisions
Negotiation & Execution Support
Assist in negotiating NDAs, term sheets, and shareholder agreements
Coordinate with legal teams and external partners throughout the deal process
Ecosystem Engagement
Build relationships with founders, VCs and incubators
Represent the company at events and communicate our value proposition
Support complex deal execution and problem-solving
Mentor junior team members and interns during research and due diligence activities
What You Bring
Experience:
4–6 years in business development, investment, or related fields
Skills:
Deal execution and financial modeling (DCF, Comps)
Knowledge of Canadian innovation landscape (healthcare, AI)
Strong communication and ability to manage multiple pipelines
What We Offer
Competitive compensation:
$100,000–$150,000 + performance bonus and benefits
