This Director position manages client accounts, provides strategic counsel, and navigates complex government and public policy environments. You will develop integrated strategies, assess emerging risks, and engage senior officials, industry stakeholders, and clients. The role also contributes to business development and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day strategic direction for client accounts
Develop public affairs and government relations strategies
Assess political, regulatory, and reputational risks
Build relationships with officials and external stakeholders
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff
Requirements:

Five to ten years in government, public affairs, or related fields
Experience executing stakeholder engagement strategies
Understanding of government decision-making and policy development
Experience engaging officials, associations, and external stakeholders
Ability to manage clients independently and provide counsel
Bring strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and government relations expertise to Edelman’s public affairs practice and client accounts.
