Mining Mechanical Designer 3D CAD
BBA Consultants
Use SolidWorks, Smart 3D, CADWorx, and AutoCAD to develop mining layouts, models, and drawings within BBA’s Mechanical Engineering team. The position is regular.
As an intermediate mining mechanical designer, you will support processing plant projects from concept through construction. Your work includes mechanical layouts, tanks, sheet-metal and chute design, technical interpretation, and vendor coordination. You will also contribute to design reviews, field inspections, quality assessments, and client collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D models, drawings, and technical project documents
Develop mechanical layouts using multiple 3D CAD platforms
Coordinate vendors and resolve complex technical design challenges
Support design reviews, field inspections, and quality assessments
Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and drafting management
Requirements:
Eight to fifteen years in processing plant layout drafting
Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and industry standards
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
Advanced English and French communication skills
Experience in multidisciplinary engineering design environments
Bring mining design experience and advanced CAD capabilities to BBA’s mechanical layouts, technical documents, and project coordination work.
