Support production and maintenance targets as a Preventative Maintenance Supervisor at Canfor’s Elko sawmill in British Columbia. Coordinate crews and prioritize safety.
In this Maintenance Planner Supervisor position, you will balance production, maintenance, and team needs while overseeing preventative maintenance programs. The role calls for mechanical problem-solving, leadership, communication, and planning across daily, weekly, and project work. Canfor’s Operating System and abnormality response are central responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure preventative maintenance programs are developed and followed
Keep maintenance cost targets within budget requirements
Coordinate crew work to meet production and maintenance targets
Ensure quality standards and Canfor Operating System requirements
Provide employee direction and foster effective working relationships
Requirements:
Experience planning and scheduling maintenance across multiple trades
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organization while managing changing business conditions
Electronic-based maintenance program knowledge considered an asset
Interprovincial Trade Qualification considered an asset
Lead preventative maintenance execution, crew coordination, and safety-focused planning within Canfor’s technically complex Elko sawmill.
