Senior Manager Medicare Underwriting

Lead Medicare underwriting strategy at CVS Health® while guiding teams, managing risk, and advancing profitable growth across key business segments.
As Senior Manager, Underwriting, you will direct underwriting professionals supporting Public and Labor, National Accounts, and Middle Market segments. You will manage performance goals, margin, membership targets, and delivery of accurate, competitive, customer-focused solutions. The position partners with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop underwriting professionals
Manage workload, priorities, production, and team performance
Approve exceptions and financial variances within delegated authority
Evaluate risk and develop pricing strategies
Communicate underwriting decisions with stakeholders
Requirements:
Five or more years of medical underwriting experience
Medicare or group health insurance product experience
Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or developing professionals
Knowledge of risk assessment and pricing methodologies
Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical tool proficiency
