Principal Energy Recovery Engineering Advisor

Advise clients on energy recovery at WSP, leading multidisciplinary engineering, due diligence, and technical delivery for complex waste solutions.
As a Principal Engineer and subject matter expert, you will support WSP’s Energy, Resources and Industrial practice. The work connects Waste-to-Energy facilities with industrial, utility, district energy, or process systems. You will partner with technology providers, developers, utilities, municipalities, financial institutions, and industrial organizations throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical delivery from concept development through facility operations
Develop practical solutions for environmental compliance and plant performance
Provide technical leadership for pursuits and strategic growth initiatives
Build relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and vendors
Mentor talent and communicate complex engineering concepts clearly
Requirements:
15+ years of engineering, operations, technology, consulting, or delivery experience
10+ years with Waste-to-Energy or comparable industrial facilities
Demonstrated multidisciplinary leadership and sound engineering judgement
Proven client relationships, business development, and capture planning experience
Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Use client advisory, engineering leadership, and energy recovery expertise to shape WSP’s Waste-to-Energy practice.
