Air Ambulance Aviation Operations Leader
PAL
Shape aviation operations for PAL Aerospace’s Air Ambulance service in St. John’s, combining pilot expertise, crew mentoring, and safety management. Help maintain mission readiness.
This manager supports the Director of Air Ambulance across Newfoundland and Labrador’s integrated ambulance services. The work includes mentoring pilots, supporting training requirements, maintaining procedures, managing resources, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. Operations use the King Air 350.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor pilots and support aircrew operational standards
Collaborate on training requirements and simulator plans
Ensure aircraft and pilots remain available as needed
Liaise with NL Air Ambulance stakeholders and clients
Support budgets and departmental financial analysis
Requirements:
Minimum 2,000 hours total flight experience
Minimum 1,000 hours as pilot in command
Valid ATPL and Instrument Rating
Multi-Engine Rating
International regulations and policies knowledge
