Roads Equipment Operator with Municipal Focus

Take on the role of Equipment Operator with the Roads Department, dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of local infrastructure. This position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and public service.
Your responsibilities will include operating heavy municipal equipment while maintaining high standards for safety and performance. This role requires effective communication with the Roads Superintendent and the general public as you address road maintenance and related inquiries. Your focus will enhance both service delivery and community trust.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and repairs of machinery
• Identify safety and operational concerns for reporting
• Assist with drainage and winter control operations
• Ensure adherence to municipal maintenance policies
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent necessary
• Six months minimum experience in equipment operation
• Valid Class DZ or AZ Ontario Driver’s Licence required
• Ability to follow detailed instructions efficiently
• Capacity to perform physical tasks as required
