Health Safety Wellness Manager

Lead health, safety, and wellness strategy at Conestoga Meats, overseeing compliance, risk, and employee wellbeing across two facilities.
This manager provides strategic leadership for the Health and Safety Management System, WSIB, disability management, security, and emergency preparedness. The role leads a Health, Safety and Wellness team supporting approximately 1,450 team members across three shifts. It partners with departmental leaders to strengthen safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop health, safety, wellness, and security strategies
Lead Health and Safety Management System governance
Oversee WSIB, disability, and return-to-work programs
Direct emergency preparedness and business continuity planning
Advise leadership on organizational risk matters
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or related field
Minimum 10 years progressive health and safety experience
Five years management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Experience with compliance, audits, WSIB, and risk management
Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities
