Elevate safety standards as a Senior Safety Engineer with Scarborough Transit Connect in Scarborough, ON. Leverage your expertise in safety systems throughout the ambitious subway extension project.
Scarborough Transit Connect is seeking an individual who can lead safety assurance from design through to commissioning. Your responsibilities will include developing hazard logs, conducting safety analyses, and ensuring regulatory compliance in collaboration with various engineering teams and stakeholders on the Scarborough Subway Extension initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate safety engineering across all project phases
• Develop and track hazard logs and risk mitigations
• Conduct thorough safety analyses with stakeholders
• Review technical submissions for safety compliance
• Promote a culture of safety across the project team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (related fields)
• Minimum of 8 years in safety engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of safety standards (EN 50126, etc.)
• Competence in using DOORS NG
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
