Pharmaceutical Regulatory Legal Counsel

Provide regulatory and commercial counsel at AbbVie in Montreal, addressing complex pharmaceutical matters with advanced French and English communication skills. The position supports AbbVie Canada.
As an experienced Legal Counsel, you will help navigate Canadian legal and regulatory complexities across AbbVie’s pharmaceutical business. The work includes promotion, patient support, market access, compliance, collaborations, and global projects requiring practical, risk-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide senior clients advice on Canadian laws and regulations
Support promotion, patient support, and payer access strategies
Anticipate hurdles and assess broader business impacts
Drive strategic workstreams within the Global Legal therapeutics team
Find solutions consistent with law, policies, and AbbVie’s Code
Requirements:
Recognized university law degree
Admission to practice law in Canada, preferably Quebec
Three to five years of relevant experience
Understanding of competition, privacy, intellectual property, and compliance
Solid knowledge of Canadian market access legal requirements
Bring pharmaceutical regulatory understanding, strategic judgment, and bilingual communication to AbbVie’s complex Canadian legal matters.
