Senior Service Designer Calgary

Shape accessible digital services as a Service Designer in Calgary, using user research and systems thinking across complex government environments. Work at least three days in J5 Design’s office.
J5 Design seeks a Service Designer with six years of professional service design or digital product design experience. You will support human-centred design across research, prototyping, testing, and implementation. The work connects user needs with practical improvements for complex services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead service design activities from discovery through implementation
Conduct research, synthesize findings, and recommend design solutions
Create journey maps, blueprints, ecosystem maps, and prototypes
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements for alignment
Apply accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles
Requirements:
Six years’ professional service or digital product design experience
University degree in service design, UX design, or related field
Experience addressing complex digital service challenges
Strong communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills
Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools
