Senior IT Project Manager Governance
S I Systems
Restore delivery control across remote business and technology projects using governance, risk management, and executive reporting. Occasional Edmonton attendance is required.
This full-time contract Senior IT Project Manager assignment runs through January 31, 2027, with possible extension. You will assume ownership of in-flight projects from unavailable Project Managers, independently review project health, and drive delivery through closure. The work spans complex, cross-functional projects within member services.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete project transitions and address documentation and delivery gaps
Maintain plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and weekly updates
Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and changes
Report clearly to sponsors, senior leaders, and governance committees
Coordinate teams, vendors, and external partners toward commitments
Requirements:
Seven-plus years leading complex cross-functional IT projects
Experience taking over projects already in progress
Strong governance using charters, RAID logs, and change logs
Executive reporting and presentation experience with sponsors and committees
Strong Gantt editing, scheduling, estimating, and resource planning skills
Lead in-flight member services projects with disciplined governance, executive communication, and delivery control from remote work with Edmonton presence.
