After Hours Healthcare Operations Manager

Lead overnight hospital operations at BCHS across Brantford and Paris, using acute care leadership and complex problem-solving expertise. This role carries full operational accountability during assigned shifts.
The Manager, After Hours Operations supports patients, families, physicians, and employees when advanced consultation is required. You will guide patient flow, staffing, risk management, policy interpretation, and critical decisions across both sites. The role suits an autonomous leader focused on operations without direct reports or budgeting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Allocate available beds and resources safely across both hospital sites
Support staff through complex patient care and operational situations
Assist patients and families with complaints and rights interpretation
Maintain shift logs and coordinate administrative follow-up
Participate in quality reviews and improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
Good standing with a relevant professional regulatory body
Basic Life Support certification required
At least three years’ acute care leadership experience
Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and intercultural competence
Bring acute care leadership, sound judgment, and collaborative communication to BCHS after-hours operations in Brantford and Paris.
