Red Seal Power Line Technician
Primary-Engineering-and-Constructio
Red Seal Power Line Technicians install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems while promoting safe, productive work. This position requires strong technical ability.
Use your journeyman certification, distribution construction knowledge, and blueprint-reading skills across overhead and underground powerline projects. The work includes street lighting, conductors, poles, documentation, and apprentice coaching. Planning project resources and coordinating materials are also central responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems
Splice, solder, insulate, and terminate conductors
Install and maintain street lighting systems
Erect poles and coordinate site materials
Coach apprentices and conduct safety meetings
Requirements:
Red Seal Journeyman Certification as a Power Line Technician
Knowledge of electrical distribution construction and applicable regulations
Ability to read electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid Class 3 or 5 licence with Q endorsement
