Senior Electrical Engineer Industrial Systems

This Senior Electrical Engineer position combines detailed design with project collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. You will work with low- and medium-voltage equipment, industrial automation protocols, electrical studies, and construction services. The role also includes proposals, design reports, specifications, client meetings, and coordination with utilities and manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed drawings and specifications using equipment data
Perform arc flash, short-circuit, and coordination studies
Conduct site surveys and complete condition assessments
Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical challenges
Facilitate design and construction team collaboration
Requirements:
10+ years of industrial electrical consulting design experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
P.Eng. designation in Alberta or British Columbia
Knowledge of Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, or DeviceNet
Familiarity with applicable codes and engineering standards
Bring industrial systems knowledge, analytical capability, and project leadership to WSP’s Calgary electrical engineering team serving critical facilities.
