Senior Developer API Reliability

Strengthen MaintainX API reliability remotely across Canada through TypeScript, contract testing, observability, and production ownership.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will separate REST APIs from monolithic dependencies and protect stability as GraphQL evolves. You will tune performance using SLIs, SLOs, logs, traces, and metrics. The position combines service-oriented development, API usability, and end-to-end operational responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Decouple REST APIs from monolithic dependencies
Implement contract testing for GraphQL and REST stability
Drive performance tuning using operational data
Manage monitoring, on-call, incidents, and root-cause analysis
Ensure integrations meet security and performance expectations
Requirements:
Four-plus years building backend systems, APIs, or platforms
Experience shipping production-grade APIs and platform products
TypeScript, Go, or C# service-oriented development experience
Strong relational database experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
Understanding of distributed systems and failure modes
