Regional Maintenance Services Manager

Coordinate regional maintenance services, employee supervision, and technical training while travelling frequently to Nunavik communities. Adaptability and community relationships are essential.
The Maintenance Manager oversees auxiliary services involving building maintenance, equipment, grounds, capital projects, energy resources, warehouses, training, and property management. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Material Resources, you will supervise maintenance employees, follow service progress, and provide recommendations. You will also develop hands-on technical training materials for unskilled employees, support school administrators, and contribute to operational and capital budget monitoring. The work connects regional service delivery with practical maintenance systems and resource coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to communities and report maintenance follow-up recommendations
Evaluate and supervise maintenance and regional service employees
Develop hands-on technical training materials
Coordinate fire drill activities with school administrators
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance processes
Requirements:
Six relevant years with an appropriate collegial diploma
Ten relevant years with a relevant trade certificate
Valid driver’s permit
Fluency in two Board working languages
Adaptability in remote areas and community relationship-building ability
Use regional supervision, technical training, maintenance coordination, and community engagement skills to support Nunavik’s operations.
