This Engineering Manager and Department Leader oversees engineering activities and team performance. The role covers equipment installations, manufacturing launches, process development, and technology integration. It also supports APQP compliance, budgets, and plant performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Manufacturing Engineering department and align operational goals
Oversee equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and production readiness
Develop manufacturing processes and integrate new technologies
Drive productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives
Lead, coach, and develop engineering team members
Requirements:
Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent relevant experience
Eight to ten years of automotive manufacturing leadership preferred
Metal stamping experience highly preferred
Experience managing engineering teams and complex projects
Knowledge of APQP and automotive quality requirements
Bring automotive leadership, equipment commissioning, APQP, and process improvement expertise to manufacturing engineering in Mississauga.
