Lead regional fleet operations at GFL Environmental through asset utilization, financial analysis, and internal shop performance across active branches.
The Area Fleet Director oversees fleet performance across current locations and future acquisitions. This strategic leadership role manages monthly fleet P&Ls, capital planning, preventive maintenance compliance, and safety standards. You will mentor fleet professionals while partnering with branch leaders, compliance teams, maintenance groups, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop fleet performance metrics and analyze operational trends
Manage monthly fleet P&Ls across business units
Oversee regional fleet operations, inventory, and shop performance
Track preventive maintenance compliance and inspection schedules
Mentor fleet, compliance, and internal shop teams
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
5–8+ years of progressive fleet management experience
3+ years of leadership or people management experience
Strong financial literacy involving fleet P&Ls and budgeting
Periodic travel throughout the assigned area or region
Direct fleet performance, safety, maintenance compliance, and financial planning while supporting GFL Environmental’s regional operations.
