Senior Drainage Engineer Vancouver

Lead transportation water resources design as a Senior Drainage Engineer in Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto, using hydrologic and hydraulic modelling expertise.
Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Drainage Engineer for complex transportation-related projects across public and private sector clients. You will lead drainage and stormwater infrastructure design, support multidisciplinary programs, and apply tools including PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and Visual OTTHYMO. The hybrid approach requires at least three office days weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation water resource projects
Model hydrology and hydraulics for corridors, culverts, bridges, and stormwater systems
Prepare and review designs, reports, specifications, quantities, and contract documents
Mentor engineers, designers, and project team members
Support planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and proposals
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree considered an asset
Professional Engineer designation in Canada, maintained in good standing
10-15 years' relevant large-scale infrastructure project experience
Proficiency with Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and InfoWorks ICM
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills
