As a key member of the Purchasing team, the Senior Buyer will report to the Manager of Financial Services. Your role will encompass essential procurement functions requiring strong skills in public sector and construction-related purchasing. Responsibilities include drafting documents for tenders, preparing purchase orders, and conducting supplier performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate public tenders by drafting essential documents
• Approve purchase orders for materials and equipment
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and resolve issues
• Analyze data for reports and strategic advice on procurement
• Participate in the implementation of purchasing guidelines
Requirements:
• SCMP Designation or equivalent qualification
• Five years of relevant procurement experience
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid BC Driver's license (Class 5)
