Senior Databricks Data Engineer

Lead Databricks and Azure data engineering at BDO Digital through a blended work model spanning offices, client sites, and virtual settings.
As a Senior Data Engineer in Technology Advisory Services, you will build production-grade pipelines and lead client engagements. Your work combines Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Azure, and technical leadership. You will align data initiatives with business objectives and deliver scalable, secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize pipelines using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark
Develop scalable ETL for structured and unstructured data
Integrate cloud and on-premises sources through Azure Data Lake
Lead client engagements and translate requirements into architectures
Mentor team members and promote data engineering best practices
Requirements:
Minimum five years of hands-on data engineering experience
At least three years using Databricks, Spark, and cloud platforms
Strong Azure, Python and/or Scala programming proficiency
Experience with production-scale data solutions and performance optimization
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related discipline
