Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead
OSI Maritime Systems
Direct a mechanical engineering team creating OSI hardware for naval and government markets with advanced SolidWorks and technical leadership. Stay hands-on through design reviews.
This senior lead reports to the Mechanical Design Manager within Hardware Engineering. You guide mechanical engineers and CAD designers developing 3D models and drawings for marine navigation and bridge systems. The work combines team supervision, technical direction, quality control, and resource planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction on mechanical design and CAD work
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and customer requirements
Optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, and cost
Report team status and escalate delivery risks
Set objectives and provide performance feedback
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Seven-plus years of mechanical design experience
Two-plus years as team or technical lead
AutoCAD and PDM/PLM familiarity
Knowledge of shipboard environmental standards
Bring senior mechanical engineering leadership, CAD direction, and quality oversight to OSI marine systems development.
