As a full-time Department Manager, you will lead the Garden Supplies department in British Columbia's premier garden center. Your role will emphasize teamwork, operational efficiency, and fostering a delightful customer journey. Candidates should possess strong retail experience and a genuine enthusiasm for gardening to influence the team positively and maintain robust inventory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the Garden Supplies section
• Manage product flow processes including pricing and displays
• Keep all tables and fixtures well-stocked and visually appealing
• Use the POS for inventory management and purchase orders
• Track inventory movements and report trends to Purchasing
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of retail experience in related fields
• Excellent customer service and communication capabilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical skills to manage inventory effectively
• Valid Forklift and Pesticide Dispensing certification required or willing to train
