Head of AI Platform Infrastructure

Own Mimica’s AI infrastructure and platform direction with Kubernetes, MLOps, and cloud expertise. Lead the systems enabling engineering teams to deliver reliably.
Mimica seeks a Head of Platform to guide infrastructure strategy as demand grows across the company. You will own training and serving infrastructure, MLOps tooling, Vertex, model access, and the broader developer platform. You will lead a lean team, shape future sub-teams, and partner with the Platform PM on roadmap priorities. The role also covers FinOps, reliability, observability, and technical due diligence.
Key Responsibilities:
Own training, serving, MLOps, Vertex, and model access infrastructure
Lead and grow Platform, SRE, and future infrastructure sub-teams
Set cloud, deployment, reliability, and developer platform standards
Forecast infrastructure and LLM costs with product attribution
Report platform health and costs to company leadership
Requirements:
Proven leadership across engineers and growing technical teams
Hands-on Kubernetes experience in managed or on-premises environments
Terraform and ArgoCD or comparable GitOps experience
Experience owning infrastructure budgets and cloud relationships
Observability experience with Honeycomb, Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic
Lead Mimica’s AI platform infrastructure with credible engineering leadership, Kubernetes expertise, and disciplined reliability and cost ownership.
