Shape AI-powered engineering workflows at Vanta using software engineering and developer experience expertise. This role is based in Canada with flexible work hours and location.
As a Senior Software Engineer on Vanta’s AI DX team, you will build foundations for more autonomous software development. You will design reliable systems, improve developer tooling, and evaluate AI-enabled workflows. The work combines infrastructure, AI systems, product judgment, and direct collaboration with engineers. You will use real usage evidence to improve quality, reliability, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:

Build reliable, trackable background-agent infrastructure
Develop agent evaluation systems using quality and cost signals
Create feedback loops for AI system improvement
Improve discovery and adoption of shared AI workflows
Guide autonomous software factory foundations and delivery
Requirements:

Substantial industry software engineering experience
Technical leadership on teams or complex projects
Experience improving AI systems through measurement and iteration
Strong fundamentals designing reliable systems
Experience with developer tooling, infrastructure, or agentic systems
Use AI systems, infrastructure, and developer experience skills to make engineering workflows more reliable and useful at Vanta.
