Environmental Permitting Project Lead

Lead environmental permitting delivery for critical infrastructure projects with Jacobs in Toronto, working full-time through a hybrid work-home arrangement. Project coordination is essential.
Jacobs is hiring an Environmental Planner to coordinate environmental work across Ontario infrastructure programs. You will work with biologists, planners, engineers, clients, and agencies. Responsibilities span permitting schedules, environmental management plans, field studies, compliance, deliverables, and relationships with communities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify project permitting requirements and establish delivery schedules
Oversee permit inputs, filings, and environmental management plans
Coordinate discipline-specific environmental field studies
Maintain relationships with government and Indigenous communities
Mentor staff and support project deliverables
Requirements:
Natural resources degree or related educational background
Ten or more years’ natural resources sector experience
Ontario infrastructure permitting and regulatory experience
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Initiative, adaptability, safety awareness, and minimal supervision
Use environmental permitting, project coordination, compliance, and mentorship skills to support Jacobs infrastructure delivery across Ontario.
