Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

Strengthen reliable cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes, observability, and automation from Peoples Group’s Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary offices.
As an experienced platform engineer, you will operate infrastructure supporting data teams and products used across Canada. This hybrid position emphasizes availability, monitoring, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and secure platform operations. You will also improve delivery paths and reduce manual work.
Key Responsibilities:
Define SLOs, monitoring, and alerting across platform services
Own high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning
Participate in on-call rotations and lead blameless postmortems
Automate provisioning, access management, and platform changes
Evaluate technologies from proof of concept to production
Requirements:
Six or more years in Platform, DevOps, or SRE roles
Production experience upgrading and operating Kubernetes
CI/CD platform design experience for engineering teams
Observability experience with meaningful SLOs and actionable alerts
Python or Go scripting and automation skills
Use reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, observability, and automation skills to improve Peoples Group’s data platform.
