Housing Programs Supervisor Durham

Lead housing programs for the Region of Durham, applying supervisory expertise, system planning, and evidence-informed decision-making across assigned services.
Reporting to the Manager in Housing Services Division, this Supervisor leads strategic initiatives and continuous quality improvement. The position oversees housing and homelessness service delivery, policy development, community partnerships, and data accountability. It supports service quality, client outcomes, and system effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach a multidisciplinary team through priorities and work plans
Oversee housing and homelessness program and service delivery
Interpret legislation, policies, frameworks, and funding requirements
Resolve complex client, provider, and stakeholder matters
Approve reporting, submissions, briefings, and recommendations
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent related education, training, and experience
Demonstrated supervisory and people leadership experience
Progressive housing, homelessness, community, or human services experience
Knowledge of housing legislation, programs, and service delivery models
Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence with regional travel ability
