The Tooling Lead Senior manages the full lifecycle of production tools and related equipment. This senior manufacturing position emphasizes inventory control, technical problem-solving, calibration coordination, and collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams. It also includes complex project leadership and guidance for junior tooling personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage calibration, repair, replacement, and tracking for production tools
Maintain tooling inventory, control systems, and documentation
Coordinate calibration schedules and quality compliance
Diagnose tool issues with engineering and maintenance teams
Provide management updates on readiness, risks, and improvement plans
Requirements:
Eight to ten years of manufacturing or tooling experience
Experience managing tooling, inventory, or maintenance coordination
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of calibration, tooling standards, and equipment safety
Proficiency with tooling databases, asset tracking, or ERP modules
