Labour Relations Manager Toronto
Hydro One
Lead labour relations strategy in Toronto with Hydro One, advising on collective agreements, grievances, negotiations, and employment legislation.
Reporting to the Director, Employee & Labour Relations, the Labour Relations Manager supports represented professional, trades, technical, clerical, and construction employees. This subject matter expert advises Human Resources and business units through strategic problem solving, risk analysis, and practical recommendations. The manager also leads Labour Relations Consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, mentor, and develop Labour Relations Consultants
Support labour relations strategies, policies, and programs
Represent management in grievances, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings
Participate in collective bargaining with Hydro One unions
Assess labour relations and collective agreement risks
Requirements:
CHRP, CHRL, MIR, JD, LLB, or equivalent education and experience
Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and labour relations practices
Strong human relations knowledge for effective negotiation
Strong English communication skills in writing and presentations
Five or more years in labour relations or human resources
Bring grievance management, collective agreement expertise, negotiation, and strategic advisory skills to Hydro One’s Toronto team.
