Construction Real Estate Controller

Lead construction finance and financial reporting as an autonomous Controller in-office in Guelph, Ontario, partnering with executives and investors.
This senior Controller role oversees reporting, accounting, tax filings, and cost calculations for a real estate client. You will guide cash flow planning across multiple projects, communicate development updates, and manage a two-person accounting team. The position requires construction finance expertise, independent judgment, and clear presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial reporting, accounting, tax filings, and cost calculations
Present results and return calculations to executives and investors
Manage, mentor, and support a two-person accounting team
Forecast cash flow across multiple independent projects
Coordinate with lenders, quantity surveyors, and external partners
Requirements:
Senior Controller experience in construction and real estate development
CPA designation strongly preferred
Independently manage tax filings, financing, and cash flow modeling
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to work on-site in Guelph
