The Dean serves as the Faculty’s chief academic and operational leader, reporting to the Provost and Vice-President, Academic. This full-time continuing role guides academic governance, program development, resource management, and faculty advancement. It calls for a collaborative communicator committed to inclusive education and community-engaged scholarship.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee credentials, program evaluation, and innovative delivery models
Foster interdisciplinary research and interprofessional education
Recruit, mentor, and retain faculty and staff
Improve student experience, achievement, and learning environments
Support accreditation processes and professional standards
Requirements:
Excellent academic qualifications and scholarly record
Experience as an administrator in a student-focused institution
Commitment to education, scholarship, and professional activity
Strategic thinking and effective communication skills
Community engagement and community-engaged scholarship experience
Shape academic quality, research capacity, student achievement, and faculty development through collaborative leadership at MacEwan University.
