This Corporate Counsel assignment offers a broad legal portfolio supporting Teck's Canadian offices and operations. You will advise on privacy compliance, data breaches, BC-registered pension plans, retirement plans, and employment matters. The role also supports triennial pension assessments and legal issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. It is temporary full time.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on privacy compliance and support related investigations
Guide pension matters for BC-registered and retirement plans
Support triennial assessments for registered pension plans
Address legal matters involving corporate transactions
Apply Teck's safety, inclusion, and confidentiality expectations
Requirements:
Juris Doctor or equivalent legal qualification
Five years' minimum Canadian legal practice experience
BC Bar membership or eligibility to be called
Privacy or pension experience considered an asset
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
Combine privacy, pension, employment, and transaction counsel skills while supporting Teck's corporate functions in Vancouver.
