Project Buyer Strategic Sourcing

Project Buyer roles require procurement expertise, SAP proficiency, and supplier management for onsite work in Markham, Ontario, with 10% domestic travel.
GE Grid Solutions, LLC seeks a project-focused procurement professional supporting geographically diverse project locations. You will manage goods and services, coordinate supplier performance, and pursue cost, schedule, and quality objectives. The position requires procurement experience, reporting skills, and cross-functional communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute procurement activities against project schedules and supplier lead times
Issue purchase orders and manage acknowledgements, changes, and invoices
Lead RFQ follow-ups and product or service negotiations
Monitor supplier progress and expedite deliveries
Escalate quality challenges and recover non-conformance costs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
At least five years of professional procurement experience
At least five years using SAP purchasing systems
Advanced Tableau, Power Query, Access, and Excel skills
English proficiency and supplier performance reporting experience
