Long Term Occasional Educational Assistant

Support students as a Long Term Occasional Educational Assistant with WRDSB, using special needs experience and behavioural disability knowledge.
This current vacancy is open to EA Association members and external applicants. Educational Assistant qualifications include certified teaching, approved support diplomas, social work credentials, or specified alternative education and experience. The position requires passing a Physical Demands test when applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special needs and behavioural disabilities
Work in school-based educational support settings
Complete required interview process through Interviewstream
Maintain required screening and training documentation
Requirements:
Certified teacher or approved Educational Assistant qualification
Alternative pathways require one year of related experience
Experience may preferably support special needs children
Pass the required Physical Demands test
Hold valid first aid and CPR certification
Bring educational support qualifications, relevant experience, and student-focused capabilities to a Long Term Occasional Educational Assistant assignment with WRDSB.
