Apply AI tools and scripting skills as a Technical Safety and AI Intern with Hitachi Rail in Toronto, working onsite full time.
This eight to twelve month internship supports Technical Safety activities involving Safety Engineering, Safety Assurance, and Independent Validation. You will contribute to continuous improvement, AI implementation, process coordination, metrics updates, and technical tools. The position runs from January through December 2027.
Key Responsibilities:

Support continuous improvement initiatives through completion and deployment
Assist AI implementation within Technical Safety
Coordinate reviews and publication of local process documents
Collect metrics and update key performance indicators
Update Technical Safety scripts and tools
Requirements:

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field
At least two academic years completed
Hands-on Excel, PowerPoint, and scripting experience
Hands-on experience with AI tools
Strong written and oral communication skills
Build Technical Safety experience through AI implementation, process improvement, metrics, and scripting at Hitachi Rail Canada.
