Prepare resident meals on-site in Elmira as a full-time Cook with Sienna Senior Living, using recipes, production sheets, and prescribed diets.
At Barnswallow Place Community, this Cook position supports seniors through meals and snacks prepared to menu documentation. You will manage food preparation supplies, portion-controlled quantities, appropriate temperatures, and food quality. The role also supports departmental operations when the team leader is absent.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up equipment and supplies for food preparation
Prepare meals and snacks using recipes and production sheets
Provide prescribed diets at appropriate temperatures
Monitor received food supplies and report quality concerns
Assist with orientation and training for new team members
Requirements:
Valid Safe Food Handling or Smart Serve certificate
Cooking experience in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings
Positive attitude supporting residence goals and standards
Legal eligibility to work in Canada
Successful Vulnerable Sector or Criminal Record Check
Bring institutional cooking experience and safe food handling knowledge to support residents at Sienna Senior Living’s Elmira community.
