Your role requires attention to detail as you document resident progress, recommend program priorities, and collaborate with external agencies to enhance recreational offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and organize engaging recreational programs for residents
• Record and report progress of residents' participation
• Collaborate with medical staff and recreation organizations
• Schedule and evaluate recreational activities
• Maintain resident safety and comfort during programs
Requirements:
• Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in relevant field
• 1 to 3 years experience in geriatric recreation
• Physical stamina to meet job demands
• Familiarity with Peterson-Gunn theory of Activation/Recreation
• Clear Criminal Record Check and TB screening
